Kitchen becomes art inside new showroom

Snaidero, an internationally renowned leader in luxury Italian kitchen and home design since 1946, is now open in Dallas. The various display kitchens are proof that modern conveniences can be incorporated into a stylish design. It is where a kitchen becomes art.

“In some of these homes that people are building and creating, the kitchen has become even more of a showpiece,” said Mark Trevino, GM/partner at Snaidero. “I’ve seen how many times that people have either really wanted a home because of the kitchen or passed on a home because the kitchen wasn’t for them.

“From my personal experience, even our family specifically, the kitchen was always the command center of the home,” Trevino said. “Mom might be making food for us, we’re on the couch, someone was at the table doing homework or someone was sitting at the counter talking about life. It’s the ultimate gathering space. And as someone who loves to collaborate with other people, it’s the place to be. When you can turn it into something as beautiful as this with incredible ingenuity and precision design flair styles, it becomes an identity.”

The showroom is proof that substance and style can live together under one vent hood. The official grand opening of the 6,500 space will be Thursday, Oct. 16. It is Snaidero’s largest U.S. showroom to date. The flagship store is located at 1617 Hi Line Drive, Suite 460 in the Design District’s Decorative Center. Ironically, Snaidero shares a parking lot with pricey Italian restaurant Carbone.

“It was a natural transition to here, into this design world specifically focused on kitchens,” said Trevino, a Coppell native. Trevino joined Snaidero after a stint in Park City, Utah and an early career in real estate. “Park City was an incredible experience, because the people there have the same type of fascination as the clientele in Dallas.

Trevino reached back to channel his previous real estate experience. “If you have a beautiful kitchen, I personally see that as like an insurance policy. If you have a beautiful kitchen, there’s always a market regardless of market conditions. How much of a premium you get for that will be dependent on that [market conditions]. But if you have a beautifully designed home with a beautiful kitchen, there’s always a market.” The kitchens on display definitely qualify as “beautiful.”

The showroom flows through the space to reveal one custom kitchen to another, revealing different counter tops. Appliances typically have stainless steel facades with splashes of black tones throughout the design elements. “Our showroom is more than just a place to showcase cabinetry, it is a space where clients, architects and designers can immerse themselves in the beauty and functionality of world-class Italian design and bring their vision to life,” Trevino said.

Although a luxury kitchen comes with a luxury price tag, the kitchens function flawlessly if preparing an elegant meal or just warming up a slice of pizza. The expansive showroom features five of Snaidero’s Sistema kitchen collections, including contemporary concepts such as Elementi, Way, Link and Frame and one of its newest products, Quadra. All of the kitchens are adaptable to specific needs.

“In general, you can look at Southlake or Westlake and everything up the middle, the Park Cities and Preston Hollow and you’re starting to see more and more of those clean lines,” said Trevino. “They are starting to really accept that style and that look.” Most of the cabinet doors work without handles or knobs for a sleek look. Inside the cabinets and drawers is an unprecedented attention to detail. Every space has a purpose.

Snaidero Dallas is a partnership between Florida-based Snaidero America and private investors comprised of a team of seasoned professionals with extensive expertise in homebuilding, real estate, cabinetry, millwork and multi-unit projects across the U.S. market. Snaidero Dallas promises comprehensive, turn-key solutions, encompassing design, precise field measurements, delivery, professional installation and dedicated after-service.

The Dallas debut of Snaidero underscores the city’s growing status as a design destination and marks a major milestone in the brand’s U.S. expansion. “Dallas is a city that values both tradition and innovation,” Trevino said. “We’re thrilled to introduce Snaidero’s legacy of Italian craftsmanship to this dynamic market.”
